ABOUT ME...

Hiya, I'm Elliot and I grew up as part of Church 180 in Paignton, in fact I am the Pastors kid. I have loved Jesus from a very early age and felt the call of God on my life for Missions since the age of 15. I am also a qualified Marine Engineer and I love working on cars and boats. I also enjoy Skateboarding especially around the city streets and I also love surfing, catching some nice waves at the beach. To really chill out in down time I am a keen gamer, but you can't beat just chilling with family and friends watching movies. In the local Church growing up I have had loads of experience working in Children's, Youth and Media Ministries.

MISSIONS JOURNEY... I have always wanted to go into the Mission field since I was fifteen. I found myself having a heart for people suffering and wanting to do something about the children in poverty often on my TV. I first decided to go into Missions in 2020 when I joined the YWAM School, Biarritz, France for three months, where I attended the YWAM Discipleship Training School. I then went on my first Mission to Morocco where I was able to work with the needy and forgotten for a 3 month period. While on this Mission God called me to Greece and particularly to work with the refugees in Greece.  I served there for 3 months partnering with YWAM Thessaloniki to minister to the needs of refugees. I believe God is calling me back to Thessaloniki for a further 2 year Mission to continue this ministry!

YWAM PARTNERSHIP... as already mentioned while in Greece I partnered with YWAM Thessaloniki. This YWAM base is committed to pioneering the "new thing" God is doing in Greece at this time. There are 5 objectives they encourage each team member to accomplish while there, these are...

Join a Church                                            Support a Ministry

Befriend a Local                                    Join a Community Club

The mission is clear... to reach the local people (Orthodox Christians) with the Gospel of Christ and discipling them into the new and full life Christ has for them. On base my responsibilities were Transportation, Maintenance and Shopping. I can't wait to return to continue my work!

REFUGEE MINISTRY... One of my main ministries in Greece is working with refugees. I did this through an organisation that is already running in Thessaloniki which is called the Refugee Care Centre. This Centre that I am working with is part of the Evangelical Alliance in Greece! We help the refugees practically in these times by offering them food, clothes, shoes and hygiene products etc. We do this through sponsors and volunteers like me, the numbers of which have been negatively impacted by the Pandemic, while the need for this work has increased. In the Care Centre we serve about 80-100 families per week which means we are supporting 320-400 families each month, that results in over 2000 people being impacted by the Care Centre every month. These refugees are mainly from African and the Arabian nations.

LOCAL CHURCH... While in Greece I joined a local church. It took me two attempts to find a Church I could call home. In the end I joined a church called Anagenesis Church that is actively engaging with the refugee community. Obviously, this was a big draw for me! In this church there are many Missionaries with the same heart towards refugees and offers me opportunity to work with them in different ways. One exciting development is a friend of mine is going into the Refugee Camps offering a course called AL Massira which is basically an Alpha Course for Muslims. This is so exciting and I really feel God calling me to reach Muslims in this season. On my return to Thessaloniki I look forward to collaborating with the Church and seeing lives changed by the power of God. Please continue to support me in prayer and register below if you would like to support me financially.
